Weekly Meal Prep Simplified

No one can deny that living and maintaining a healthy lifestyle necessitates planning and preparation. Meal prepping for the week ahead is one proven strategy that will keep you eating healthy all week long.

Meal prep can be time consuming but it doesn’t have to be. I recently came across this article filled with simple tips that will have you on your way to healthy meal prep. 

I would like to offer a few more tips of my own:

  1. Make your meals visually appealing by using a variety of colors and glass containers so that you can quickly grab-n-go. We tend to eat with our eyes, so the more visually appealing a meal looks, the more likely you are to enjoy it!
  2. Strive to create “Balanced Meals” by choosing a food rich in each macronutrient – Protein, Carbohydrate, and Fat. Don’t forget that fruits and vegetables are optimal sources of carbohydrates.
