Kerry Willard-Beuth physical therapist

Kerry Willard-Beuth, PT, MS, DPT, OCS, is the physical therapist at the bariatric program at Marina Del Rey Hospital.

A board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist, Kerry received her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Ithaca (N.Y.) College, then received her master’s degree (in 1995) and doctorate (2005) from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. She has worked in physical therapy since 1990 in acute care, inpatient, outpatient, cardiac, orthopedic, industrial, educational, and pediatric settings. She is particularly sensitive to and experienced in working with women’s physical therapy needs and the needs of weight loss surgery patients.

Kerry has worked at LA Bariatrics since 2008. Her role here is to assist patients through any difficulties with motion and mobility, so that their post-surgery experience can be an active, healthy one. She also assists patients in creating customized exercise plans to help them meet their goals for improved health and sustained weight loss.

She is a member of:

• The American Physical Therapy Association
• The American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery
• The Greater Los Angeles District American Physical Therapy Association: nominating committee member (2006–07), chairperson (2004), chairperson-elect (2003)

She also regularly participates in, organizes, and conducts continuing education programs.
