Jeremy Korman, bariatric surgeon — Dr. Korman is the medical director of L.A. Bariatrics. A leading weight loss surgeon, Dr. Korman has successfully performed over 1,000 weight loss procedures on patients from all over the United States.  Dr. Korman earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Cornell University. He then graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and completed his general surgery residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Korman completed a fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in laparoscopic general surgery. In this type of surgery incisions are much smaller than in traditional surgery. John M. Kennedy, cardiologist — Dr. Kennedy is Marina Del Rey Hospital’s director of preventive cardiology and wellness, and he sits on the American Heart Association’s board of directors. Because obesity is one of the most important preventable causes of heart disease and stressors on the body, he works with L.A.
